Perspective study animation
A sideline to David's commercial work has been explorations in perspective. His first book on the subject has been widely praised and is assigned in many art courses. His paintings on spherical objects like globes and bowling balls utilizing a six point perspective method he devised himself are in many private collections, and he has lately begun a new series applying the same method to flat surfaces by map projection.
David is now at work on a second perspective book, which will include a companion disk of computer-generated perspective grids as well as video tutorials on their use.

Stumptown Preview #5: Curvilinear Grids

I worked out the construction of curvilinear perspective years before I did my first perspective book, but all things curvilinear wound up on the cutting room floor that time. Now, 14 years later, my new book, Extreme Perspective!, includes chapters on curvilinear perspective (which comes in two main types, fisheye and cylindrical), and the accompanying DVD includes dozens of curvilinear grids for those who don’t have the time or inclination to do the construction themselves.
Each grid appears in two versions: a cubic lattice with tiled columns, and a simpler pattern of a cube with squared-up faces.


While many artists will likely use the grids as a background layer in Photoshop, I prefer to print out pale blue versions and sketch over them in pen and ink.


Perhaps my favorite grid of all is this “Oblique Cylindrical” which includes all six vanishing points in a single view.

Working over it results in delightfully loopy panoramas like this one:

Figura de dimensões exageradas: altura (incluindo cabeça) deve compreender a dimensão correspondente a oito cabeças e meia. Transmite ideia de heroísmo, utilizado na representação de deuses e super-heróis. Geralmente a dimensão em excesso é aplicada na extensão do peito e das pernas.
Estas proporções podem variar quando o modelo assume outras poses.

Para que servem aqueles bonecos de madeira vendidos em lojas de desenho?

O manequim de madeira é usado para desenhar poses da figura humana. A pose é definida movimentando-se as partes articuladas do boneco, e, depois, desenha-se o boneco no ângulo desejado. Em seguida “cobre-se” o desenho do boneco com músculos e roupas. É um instrumento bem prático.

É um boneco próprio para se ter noção do corpo humano , com ele você poderá ver o corpo em diferentes ângulos facilitando assim o desenvolvimento do desenho mangá.

O boneco foi feito com a proporção de 8 cabeças e é possivel fazer várias poses com ele. Até podemos desenhar a pose de uma pessoa pulando! :D

Use um duréx se for preciso para deixar o boneco na pose desejada. Para aqueles que querem aprender a desenhar eu recomendo ter um boneco como este para ir treinando a desenhar o corpo inteiro, dividindo corretamente as partes do corpo e depois disto começar a desenhar o rosto, roupas etc….

Eu mesmo (Franime) comecei a desenhar rostos e depois o corpo , o resultado foi um desastre…. consigo desenhar um rosto mas tenho dificuldade em adapta-lo ao corpo…. comecem de forma correta certamente vocês se tornarão Excelentes Desenhistas.

Desenho do corpo humano

O desenho da figura humana não é fácil.Entretanto é possível simplificar usando o método de figuras em bloco.Esse método associa a relação das partes do corpo com figuras geométricas. Esse tipo de esquema também se vale de linhas de eixo, que ajudam a marcar no esboço a posição do corpo.Assim, sem esquecer as proporções corretas, o desenho sai com mais facilidade.
